Last call for the East London line. Four days after this photo was taken, this line will be closed for two and a half years in order to be rebuilt and incorporated into the National Rail network.

The oldest stock still in everyday use on London's Underground is the A60/62 on the Metropolitan line. An eight car A60/62 rushes past Preston Road on the fast lines on a service to Baker Street.
